DJI Joins FAA Drone Advisory Committee
A Game-Changer for Drone Regulation and Integration

Brendan Schulman, DJI’s Vice President of Policy and Legal Affairs, will serve as the company’s representative on the committee. Chaired by Brian Krzanich, the CEO of Intel, the committee’s first meeting is set for September 16 in Washington, D.C. Key topics will include the myriad challenges involved in seamlessly integrating unmanned aircraft into one of the busiest airspace systems in the world. The committee will devise structured approaches to prioritize the FAA’s future regulatory and policy initiatives.
Building on Past Collaborations
This is not DJI’s first interaction with FAA regulatory efforts. The company has previously consulted on several initiatives, including the “Micro” UAS Aviation Rulemaking Committee, which was set up to propose sensible regulations for commercial drones operating above populated areas.
